Hello everyone!

Welcome to my first blog for 2021.

As an aspiring writer, it only seems appropriate that I’m able to share not only writing tips or writing advice but also my personal preferences such as the people who inspire me to pursue a writing profession in the near future.

One of these people is Ms. Kara Patria Constantino David-Cancio. Otherwise known as Ms. Kara David, she is a renowned broadcast journalist and television host in GMA Network here in the Philippines. I first saw her on television in her documentary show i-Witness, and while I did not admire her work in the past, as an adult I’ve appreciated her passion for journalistic stories more now.

With that being said, her storytelling method is one of the reasons why she inspires me. I admire how she crafts her documentaries that enables her to express people’s various experiences in life authentically. Another reason why I admire Ms. Kara, is her courage and openness to experience. She’s not afraid of interacting with different people and dealing with uncomfortable circumstances which is why I think her narrative affects her audience well. And lastly, her shows motivate me to continue reaching for my own dream so that one day the stories I want to tell for and about other people will come true too.

I hope to share more with you all but that is it for my first blog. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
